At Philip Morris USA, we actively engage in public policy issues affecting our business. Through engagement with government officials, trade partners, adult tobacco consumers and employees, we work to address issues impacting our company and the tobacco industry.
In addition to engaging directly with government officials and their staffs, our activities include:
- providing our stakeholders issue- and state-specific background materials
- providing ways for trade partners and adult cigarette smokers to contact their government officials
- when appropriate, asking our employees and suppliers to share with government officials their views on the projected impact of specific policies
- encouraging all of our stakeholders to be active on issues important to them
